Central Baptist Church (CBC) is a small and growing Christian community in the heart of Southampton. With a long legacy of worship and mission in the city centre, the church has recently entered a new chapter – one marked by hope, restoration, and a renewed sense of purpose. Whether you're exploring faith, returning to church, or looking for a way to make a difference, you're welcome here.
Who Are we?
Central Baptist Church has been a part of Southampton life for generations. After a difficult season of decline that left the church at risk of closure, we're now on a journey of revitalisation – working in close partnership with Testwood Baptist Church as part of a network, to slowly rebuild, reimagine what church could look like in the city, and seek God’s vision for the future.

Although we are in a period of transition, we are a welcoming, faithful community of people, rooted in God’s Word, centred on Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and committed to:
